HEALTHY WHOLE FOODS LOST ME 6 KGS & 5% BODY FAT IN 12 MONTHS
I lost 4 inches off my waist since I started eating healthy whole foods last year, and cut down on sugar and most highly processed foods,(eg bread and chips). This is not Fad diet but a healthy Low carb, high protein, high fat life style. I will reward myself with a piece of chocolate, biscuit or an ice cream now and again.
When I go out to dinner, I will order a normal meal with chicken or steak and any vegetables I can get. No desert as I have cut out sugar and unhealthy highly processed foods.
This is not a FAD DIET but a healthy whole food lifestyle
HEALTHY WHOLE FOODS RESEARCH
As the research shows, you need to feed your stomach whole fat. Because, as your stomach needs healthy fat to keep you from starving, if you don’t give it what it needs, it produces its own fat.
If you feed your body full cream dairy and other whole fats, your stomach will use that fat instead of producing it.
By using this method I’ve lost 3 inches from my waist and 4% body fat, and feel so much healthier.
EATING HEALTHY WHOLE FOODS INSTEAD OF UNHEALTHY PROCESSED FOODS
Instead of margarine and low fat products, I started eating butter, whole Dairy foods (Full cream milk, cream, high fat yoghert and full fat cheese), I eat plenty of eggs for protein but add egg white powder as well as protein powder. The egg white powder and the protein powder, give me pure protein without the fat.
I eat all the dairy foods that were forbidden 10 years ago because they were labelled unhealthy and made you fat. NOT TRUE. See below.
You can eat most things in moderation.
If you use a small plate instead of a big one, you cut down on the meal size and can keep the left overs for another meal
DO NOT FREEZE UNUSED BUTTER, BUT KEEP IT IN THE FRIDGE
There is a long use by date on butter which makes it easy to keep in the fridge. Just take out what you need and put it in a butter bell, This keeps it soft for approx 1 week on the bench.
This is a butter bell.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BUTTER AND MARGARINE
Margarine became popular when scientists made the connection between saturated fats (found only in animal products, coconut and palm oil) and high cholesterol levels and heart health. These studies were later proved wrong. Simple carbohydrates like white bread and refined sugar were to blame for weight gain and heart disease.

WHAT HAPPENED WHEN PEOPLE STARTED TO EAT MARGARINE
When people started to eat margarine at the turn of the 20th century, butter consumption dropped from 18 pounds per person per year to 4. Between 1920 and 1960, heart disease became the number one killer, (how could butter be the blamed).
Nonetheless, the seed was planted and butter received a bad wrap. With clever marketing by the vegetable oil industry, butter was the bad guy, and vegetable oils and Margarine were the healthier alternatives.
TRANS FATS ARE YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE
It is true that saturated fats add calories and cholesterol to your body, but in truth, your body needs some fat to function properly.
Despite the fact that margarine contains healthy Omega 3’s and no cholesterol, it hides a far more dangerous truth – TRANS FATS. Recent studies have shown that man made fats are the ones to fear, not saturated fats.
Trans fats are no use to your body and have been shown to raise bad cholesterol while reducing good cholesterol.

YOUR HEALTHY WHOLE FOODS DECISION
The decision about whether to choose butter or highly processed margarine packed with trans fats seems obvious.
Next time you go to grocery store, ignore empty health claims and go for the real thing instead.

RAW SOAKED OATS ARE HEALTHIER THAN COOKED OATS
As soaked oats have some unique properties, it makes them a must, for people looking to improve their morning breakfast.
The best part is, soaked oats are easy, take less time to prepare and all the work is done overnight.
This is a healthy delicious nutritional meal for any time of the day.
REASONS FOR EATING SOAKED RAW OATS
1. They are much Easier to Digest
As oats soak overnight, their digestibility improves greatly. There starches break down which makes them more easily absorbed. The soaking acts like long cooking, which you won’t get from heating . This is why most people find overnight oats easier to digest.
As it improves with age, make enough for about 3-4 meals.
2. Raw Soaked Oats are Much Higher in Resistant Starch
As resistant starch is a natural type of carbohydrate found in all starchy foods, This means that you feel full longer, improved weight loss and even better digestion.
Resistant starch helps decrease insulin levels. Oats that are soaked overnight, keep you full for longer (approx 4 hours) instead of 2 hours from cooked oats.
3. They Save you Time
If you mix the raw oats at night, it will take you 2 minutes, but will save you 10 minutes in the morning.
After you have added other ingredients (Yoghert, Coconut milk, honey and any fruit you like) to a bowl or jar, cover, and put it in the fridge.
4. They are Versatile
Even the pickiest eater or oatmeal hater will enjoy this muesli.
My choice of fruits are: Dried apricots (diced), grapes and any frozen berries) If you like fresh fruit, put it in just before you eat it. You can also add nuts if you like them. Other alternatives are peanut butter, cinnamon, raisins and nuts.
5. They Taste Like Dessert
The best part of eating soaked oats is the flavour. It’s like eating a sweet cake like dessert for breakfast that’s actually good for you.
